Tangible Objects of Life (Taurus New Moon)
stuff you can hold, simplifying, and beltane// april 27 - may 3
Between the start of Taurus season and today’s new moon in Taurus, I’ve been really meditating on my favorite aspects of this sign.
One of my favorite things about this sign is its physicality.
I once heard an astrologer emphasize Taurus through its deeply analog qualities. It’s a sign that symbolizes something made with our hands, something we can hold and feel, measure its weight, recognize its unique smell or flavor.
Taurus is a deeply visceral sign.
It reminds us not only of our metaphorical roots but of our physical ones as well. What tangible objects tether us, comfort us, or inspire us?
In a hyper online world, we can associate so much of our value and worth with what can be seen through a screen. Taurus challenges us to return to the things around us that take up space and have a physical form.
What is that for you?
Currently, I am feeling tethered by my new vintage lamp that brings a new light to my space, my weirdly shaped coffee mug that I have used every morning for the last ten years, the well worn library books on my windowsill, my daily essential oils, and the never ending dust bunnies I find under my bed while I am in downward facing dog.
Let this Taurus time invite you deeper into the simple sensory pleasures that already surround you. You may be surprised by how many there are.
