In preparing for Friday’s eclipse, I spoke to my cosmic flow group (and emphasized in the newsletter) the importance of having ‘little rituals’. The everyday things we do to feel connected to spirit, source, or simply each other. These don’t have to be big morning routines or exotic retreats — they can be simple, sacred, even mundane. The more boring the better (in my book).

These days I’ve been spending a lot of time re-evaluating my relationship with social media and my smartphone in general. Observing my pull towards the device in the morning, on my walks, even as I settle in to bed. I experimented using this eclipse as a way to practice new boundaries and re-establish little rituals throughout my day that might not seem Instagram-worthy, but help me stay connected and aligned.

coffee. the ultimate little ritual.
  • morning oatmeal / a non-negotiable start to my day for the last 10 years

  • evening routine with fiona / this developed out of our inability to stop talking to each other for even 5 minutes. So we often vent and unwind our day as we wash our faces and brush our teeth (just like we did growing up)

  • thursday newsletter writing / writing this newsletter is one of my favorite rituals. It is how I personally ground into the week ahead while also connecting with my community and sharing my voice.

  • incense & bed making / like my morning oatmeal, lighting a little smoke and making my bed in the morning is an important energetic transition from sleep into day. Because I work in my bedroom, I like to be really intentional about changing the energy in my space throughout the day.

  • womb tea / this is a newer ritual I’ve incorporated 3-5 days before my period to help ease any pms symptoms, but also to help nourish and prepare for the winter week of my cycle. I’ve been loving this blend from anima mundi.

Consider making a list of your little rituals. Even if they seem silly or mundane. By honoring them as more than just a task on the to do list, you give them permission to be a sacred part of your day.

Moon Moves:

Sunday → Monday: Waning Gibbous in Libra 🌖
Tuesday → Wednesday: Waning Gibbous in Scorpio 🌖
Thursday → Saturday: Last Quarter Moon in Sagittarius 🌗

This week gently floats us out of the energetics of last week’s lunar eclipse in Virgo. We are now on a waning cycle preparing for the solar eclipse in Aries (3/29).
