I keep trying to do it all...
Your astrological & energetic update for July 26 - August 1
I feel like we’ve lived many lives since my last weekly drop. The world around us is buzzing with unexpected events and we are doing our best to keep up pace and maintain our normal happenings. It feels like there’s not enough time in the day to process the news, be productive, and present at the same time.
I was sipping tea this morning while scrolling on instagram (naturally) and came across this post from author/coach Liz Tran (whom I deeply admire).

This quote feels fitting for where I find myself these days. Struggling to commit to things while also wanting desperately to accomplish things. I have opened dozens of partially finished books gently awaiting my return on the windowsill next to my bed. I have some epic business ideas that keep me awake at night asking to be realized. There are people I want to help, causes I wish I could donate more to, and old hobbies I desperately miss. I think the reason why this quote by Liz struck me so much is because it is so simple. Instead of spending time and energy worrying about what we are missing or lacking, perhaps we focus and devote that energy towards what we can, when we can.
The astrology of this week is relatively light. Next week we will see the entrance into Mercury retrograde, a new moon in Leo, and more. Let’s take some deep breaths this week, take action where we can, and commit to being as present as possible 🌀
Moon Moves:
Friday (7.26): Waning Gibbous Moon in Aries 🌖
Saturday → Monday: Last Quarter Moon in Taurus 🌗
Tuesday → Wednesday: Waning Crescent Moon in Gemini 🌘
Thursday → Friday (8.1): Waning Crescent Moon in Cancer 🌘
This week’s waning cycle offers us some space to clear out and process anything that happened over the past week or so. We have been in an incredibly activated astrological time (heightened by a full moon and transition into Leo season). This week, the moon encourages us to slow down and catch our breath. If you feel like things have been slipping through the cracks, use this moon to start re-focusing your energy on small tasks to get you back on track.
Speaking of the moon… Last week, my dad visited new york and we went to the Noguchi Museum. We caught the last week of the beautiful Toshiko Takaezu exhibit that’s been on all summer. I am not surprised that some of my favorite pieces were a collection of round ceramic orbs referred to as her Moons.

There was something so beautiful about seeing a physical embodiment of the moon that exists closer than the one in the sky or the one in my mind.
